Lee Enterprises Design Center and National Desk is looking for a detail-oriented individual with copy-editing and page design experience to join our Quality Control team. Members of this team focus on corrections to pages, page approvals and completing template pages. The primary goals of the Quality Control team are to serve as a last line of defense to catch errors before getting to print and improve content at every step of the workflow.

Team members are responsible for placing the correct comics, weather, puzzles, TV and stocks on pages, as well as needed downloads of such elements.

Our Design Center has two locations, Munster, IN, located 20 miles from downtown Chicago and Madison, WI.

Ideal candidates will have experience in design at a newspaper, understand the fast-paced, newsroom environment, and have the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously. Candidates also must display a strong instinct for problem-solving, a sense of urgency, and a passion for news.
