DESCRIPTION:
CBS 2 / WLNY is seeking a freelance Sports Anchor with major market experience and proven leadership skills. The ideal candidate will thrive on breaking sports news; has high journalistic standards and will bring fresh, innovative ideas to a vibrant newsroom.

Required:
Candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of comparable television experience, with a minimum of 3 years as a Sports Anchor working in the local market or at network television. Must have excellent presentation and both oral and written communication skills; must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines. Candidate must have the demonstrated ability to develop and research stories. Ability to collaborate with all levels of personnel both inside and outside of the Company. Must be able to effectively report live and be engaging. Bachelor’s degree in Communications and/or Journalism preferred. Must also be able to work weekends and holidays.
