The Role in Brief:

Video Editor, Post Production

Join an award-winning team of innovators and creators with a long history of pushing the envelope on the front lines of 360 video, virtual reality, and virtual tour products. EAB’s Studio division is searching for an experienced Video Editor, with a working knowledge of visual effects and compositing to join our staff of accomplished creatives. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate a thorough understanding of art, design, video pipelines and workflow, compression, and file management. A high level of technical knowledge combined with visual instinct is crucial to this work. The editor will assist various creative teams in organizing, editing, coloring, compositing, and creating interactive experiences on our proprietary web platform, Aria.

This role will ideally be based in New York, NY, Los Angeles, CA, or Richmond, VA. Candidates based in other locations will also be strongly considered and remote applicants are welcomed.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Utilize best practices and department SOPs to ensure delivery of immersive products that are on-time, on-brand and on-budget
  • Ingest, organize and prepare of raw content
  • Edit and transform raw content utilizing post-production software
  • Assemble review-ready virtual tours with final transformed assets
  • QA of assembled experiences
  • Assess and implement feedback and requests from partners
  • Backup and archiving of both raw and completed visual assets
• Attend remote shoots as required
• Provide feedback to refine technical and project workflow
• Anticipate and communicate issues quickly and clearly to department heads and support teams.

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience working with production crews
• Experience editing and capturing content with Canon and Sony camera systems
• Extensive knowledge of the Adobe CC suite, specifically Premiere and After Effects
• Advanced experience color-correcting a variety of compressed footage
• Working understanding of a complete VFX pipeline
• Advanced knowledge of video filetypes, compression, and filesystems
• Working understanding of 3D space, rendering, and lighting
• Exceptional creativity and technical problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage large files remotely
• Ability to maintain tidiness of off-site cloud storage
• Ability to effectively work on multiple projects concurrently

Ideal Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in a related field (i.e., film production, photography or other related creative field)
• 3 or more years of relevant professional experience
• Ability to collaborate and contribute within a strong team environment
• Strong interest in continuous learning
• Excellent time-management skills
• Expert communication and listening skills
• Excellent prioritization skills
• Aptitude for leadership and mentorship
• Solid attention to detail and follow-through
• Strong sense of self-confidence and a steady positive attitude
