The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a talented Video Editor to assemble recorded footage into a finished project that matches the company’s vision and is suitable for broadcasting.
Ultimately, as a Video Editor, you should be able to bring sight and sound together to tell a cohesive story.
Responsibilities
Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience
Take a brief to grasp the marketing team’s needs and specifications
Following a script, screenplay or outline
Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
Inputting sound to enhance footage, which may include selecting music and writing voice-overs
Inputting graphics and effects to enhance footage
Create a draft for review and final cuts
Work closely with Broadcasting Manager to present a final product that matches the company’s vision
Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency
Requirements
BA, Diploma or similar degree
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
Solid proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro & After Effects
Proficient in operating Windows-based machine
Proficient in motion graphics and effects
Some experience of operating video equipment is preferred
Creative thinker
Good time-management skills
Great interpersonal and communication skills
English speaking
Proficient in Adobe Cloud, MS Office
Excellent communication skills in both speaking and writing
Ability to multi-tasks and adhere to deadlines
Solid attention to detail
Asset
Additional language skills (French, Mandarin, Korean etc.)
Experience in the broadcasting field
Submission of a photo/video editing reel of your best work
Certification in Adobe Cloud Programs
