Video Editor (Volunteer) – Latincouver Cultural & Business Society – Vancouver, BC

Latincouver is a non-profit organization that for the past 12 years has been connecting over 100,000 Latin Americans with Latin enthusiasts living in Western Canada. As of today, we are the point of reference within the Latin American community in British Columbia.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity

• Create rough and final cuts

• Edit footage segments

• Establish a clear understanding of the storyline and purpose of the video’s creation

• Improve video and sound quality

• Accurately estimate time to assigned tasks

• Other activities as assigned

Requirements and Skills:

• College diploma or degree in digital animation, design, fine arts or relevant field

• High-intermediate English level, written and verbal

• Previous experience with video editing

• Familiarity with Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut Pro

• Creative mind and storytelling skills

• Significant attention to detail and patience

• Time management and organizational skills
