Technical Trainer, Sr – SBG Technology Solutions – Alexandria, VA

We are seeking a highly motivated individual looking to join our rapidly growing company. The ideal candidate for this position has technical training experience, is a problem-solver, and learns new technology quickly with the ability to excel in a fast-paced government contractor environment and is someone who has a positive energetic attitude.

OVERVIEW:
The Technical Trainer will be part of the team supporting the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) program. This position is located in Alexandria, VA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitates technical trainings in-person and virtually for 2500 end users
• Conducts training programs, presents training materials, and interacts directly with students.
• Conducts training on IT software, hardware, systems and networks.
• Creates training materials ie: user manuals, process guides
• Presents training classes using a variety of different media and tools.
• Learns new technology/software and government business processes to create training materials.

Position Requirements:

• AA or 2-year technical school. 4 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience. Four (4) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, or EAD to obtain and maintain a Veteran Affairs Public Trust Clearance.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Skilled in capturing quality photographs and videos for training and communication purposes. Experience or understanding with video editing applications such as Final Cut Pro, After Effects, or Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Experience in eLearning authoring software ie: Camtasia and Captivate highly desirable
• MicroPact Entellitrak experience or training highly desired.
• Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs is highly desired.
